Creazione SUGO and Concepticon have joined forces to create an unprecedented installation, pushing the boundaries of design into uncharted territories. Kevin Chu and Andrea Cingoli, respective founders of these companies, have realized two innovative products that narrate the story of an artificial landscape inspired by nature, where the frenetic activity of egg-laying insects acts as a catalyst for inspiration. These designs integrate the strong contrast of dry tree trunks with the vibrancy of live plants, symbolizing the duality of recycling and regeneration.
Both designs boast maximum adaptability. The STICK INSECT lamp can be mounted on walls, hung from ceilings, or simply placed on the floor, catering to the needs of all users in all abilities. Unlike conventional lighting systems, the STICK INSECT resembles a creature moving within a space, injecting dynamism and beauty into any occupied environment.
OLEG, on the other hand, declares itself as one of the most versatile furniture systems in the world. Its unique shape allows it to transform into structurally stable forms such as bookshelves, coat racks, tables, or even lighting fixtures. OLEG grants users the creative freedom to build their own functional objects or sculptures, imbued with a sense of playful aggregation, adaptable to any imaginable space and user.
For the Superdesign Show 2024, our installation features a central island whose structure evokes an infinite spatiotemporal continuum. Here, aggregations are reflected in a universe without space and time, adding an extra dimension to each design. We invite visitors to enter this space and be amazed by the fusion of art, design, and functionality. In line with the show’s theme, “Thinking Different: Everything | Everyone | Everywhere,” our installation, aptly named ONE 4 ALL, challenges functional categorization, and seeks to redefine perceptions and accessibility to objects in space.
